Having trouble figuring out how to account for income and expenses on your client’s woodland? Join with Clint Bentz, CPA, CMA, former chairman of the American Forest Foundation and 2002 National Outstanding Tree Farmer of the Year as he helps you navigate and understand the complexities of timber taxation.

This course provides complete coverage for all areas of timber taxation for the six classifications of timberland owners (personal use, investor, farming, hobby, and passive and active trade or business), including how each type reports income, what expenses are deductible based on taxpayer classification, timber block accounting, reforestation costs, depletion, casualty losses and more. The course covers all types of landowners from individuals who have some timber on their residential property to large corporate ownerships. See the Course Overview & Introduction below for more details and the detailed Learning Objectives.

Clint has over 30 years of experience working with timber clients, including his own family’s 700 acres of timberland in Scio Oregon.
